Yes. A bank’s conclusion about who authorized a transaction is still a conclusion based on whatever information the bank considered.

Sometimes the bank relies heavily on technical facts. It may tell you the transaction came through a particular device, IP address, card, or authentication process. Those facts may be relevant, but they do not necessarily answer every question about who was actually controlling the account or device.

That distinction matters when you know you did not make the transaction but the bank acts as though its technical records settle everything.
