No. It means the bank reached a conclusion. It does not automatically tell you whether the investigation was thorough or whether the conclusion was correct.
When your bank says, “We investigated and found no fraud,” the words can sound almost official enough to end the conversation. You may assume investigators reviewed everything, reconstructed what happened, considered what you told them, and ruled out other explanations.
But you may have no idea what the bank actually reviewed.
If you know you did not make the transactions and the bank’s explanation does not make sense, you are allowed to question its conclusion.
