Where you were when the disputed transactions occurred can be important.

For example, suppose you were at home in one city while your debit card was supposedly being used somewhere completely different. Or your account suddenly shows restaurant, retail, or ATM activity in a location that does not fit where you were or how you normally spend money.

That does not automatically resolve every fraud dispute, but it can be an important part of the evidence.

This is especially true when the location problem is just one piece of a larger pattern: unusual amounts, strange merchants, repeated transactions, abnormal ATM activity, or spending that looks nothing like your normal account history.

That is the bigger issue I discuss in “Why Can’t My Bank Tell These Charges Aren’t Mine?” here: https://www.cardozalawcorp.com/blog/why-can-t-my-bank-tell-these-charges-aren-t-mine-.cfm

If your bank denied your fraud claim even though the transactions happened somewhere that makes no sense, contact our law firm. We can look at the entire transaction pattern and determine whether we may be able to help.
