Sometimes the credit card company decides that disputed charges were authorized even though you know you did not make them.
The important thing to understand is that a denial is the company's conclusion. It does not automatically mean the investigation behind that conclusion was reasonable or correct.
Credit card companies sometimes rely on transaction records, merchant information, authentication data, or other technical evidence when deciding who made a purchase. Those facts may matter, but they still have to be considered alongside what actually happened.
