Franklin Collection Services, Inc. is headquartered in Tupelo, Mississippi.  It was founded in 1980 and is also known as Franklin Collection Agency. President Dan Franklin and his wife own an exotic animal park in Tupelo.

In 2015 Franklin agreed to a Consent Order issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for “substantial non-compliance” with the laws regulating debt collection businesses and for failure to comply with a 2010 Consent Order.  

In 2008 Franklin settled a class action lawsuit for $239,000 involving claims that the agency falsely collected attorney fees for debt collection lawsuits when no attorney appeared on behalf of the agency.
