A police report can be important evidence, but sending one does not guarantee that your bank will reverse its fraud denial.

What makes these situations so frustrating is that the bank may specifically tell you to obtain a police report. You reasonably assume that means the report could make a difference, so you spend your time making the report and sending it in.

Then the bank denies you again.

If that happened, do not assume that another denial necessarily means your police report proved nothing. It means the bank still reached the same conclusion after receiving it.
